Wild mouse in my garden?

We have all the usual range of birds, there's a grass snake behind the compost heap and several toads under the shed. The two don't seem to have met, though the toads are probably far too big for the snake to tackle. There are a couple of hedgehogs who snuffle around most nights. Because of them, the toads and the snake we aren't bothered by many slugs . . .
