My 5yr old neutered basset hound is the sweetest and friendliest dog. There have been incidents where he has growled at select people, some which have returned, some were strangers and he would tuck his tail, lower his head and slowly walk away. We didn't think anything of it until recently when it went too far. My sister told me that today, he was growling at her friend who had spent the night (he had been fine with her all day). They were sitting on the floor and he hid behind my sister and continued to growl. The friend tried to baby talk him, trying to change his mind and maybe get a tail wag but he wasn't having it so they left him alone. Later, he started up again and this time lunged for the friend as my sister held him back. The friend then ran out of the room and he chased her supposedly with intentions to bite. I have no idea why this happened and my parents are threatening to get rid of him. Please hep for my best friend's sake!

Why is my nueterted male cat hissing and being agressive towards female cat and their kittens?

Were having issues with my 1 year old male siamese cat who was super affectionate & sweet he just recently got nuetered while my other female cat was pregnant they are both indoor cats and have been together since hey were kittens. He used to be very lovable and always wanted to be around us. Ever since my cat had the kittens he turned really mean he acts completely different. Very aggressive towards mama cat hisses and growls at her if she walks by him or just anytime. He's been hissing at the kittens too. But then sometime he just watches and ignores them. Help!? I don't know what's wrong with my dog!!?

My dog is 4 yrs old. But I have no clue whats wrong with him. He wont eat. He won't drink. Unless ou force him!! He's been like this for a couple weeks now. And well we took him to the vets. And the guy said he's a mean dog. But he had (i guess) what's called a worm inside him. And the vet gave us medicine where we gave it to my dog. And he got somewhat better, but like I don't know why to do. Why has my daschund being ugly lately?

Hello! Today morning I released a young sparrow, and now I have doubts what I did was right. I hand feed him 19 days (when I got him he was around 3-4 days old), he began to fly one week ago, on Tuesday 21. For the last days I hand reared him every 2 hours, but he also fed on his own... he didn't start to eat big seeds yet. Last three days he was very noisy, and I didn't want him to be closed in an apartment or get used to humans, I also thought he was good in flying. But now that I think back, I truly hope he could find food and other sparrows, and wouldn't miss the syringe. Do you think I should let him go when he would be older and would eat on his own all day long, on your experiences? a also red on the net that sparrows get independent 7- 10 days after they leave the nest (but they leave the nest when they do not yet fly). He also wasn't used of the weather outside, do you think he could find a shelter? And I have one question more..why do you think he was so loud? Even when I fed him he didn't stop cheeping. Odd bulge on birds neck?

I am nursing a little sparrow back to health and about a week ago I noticed an odd bulge by it's neck that looked to have the food it was feeding it inside. Please am i pregnant?

had sex on the 6th of June. He used a condom but for a minute he went in without one. I did a pregnancy test and it came neg. My period is due it's day 33 all week i've had period pain like symtoms. I am very picky when it comes to music. I only like metal, but I can't stand growling or screaming. I have found very few bands that satisfy my musical taste. The bands i listen to are Avenged Sevenfold(the newer albums), three days grace, some Rise Against, Kamelot and some System Of A Down. I have tried Bullet For My Valentine, too much screaming. My older italian greyhound doesn't get along with new puppy?

So I've had my italian greyhound Thunder for 9 years. She's a female, and we also have another italian greyhound thats around 7 years old, and a male. We bought a new italian greyhound puppy today and she gets along really well with the male (Lightning) but everytime she tries to make friends or get close to Thunder, Thunder growls and snaps at her making her cowar away. Is this a normal behavior between same-sex italian greyhounds? or do I need behavioral training with Thunder? any tips? should i react a certain way when Thunder snaps at her or should I let it play its coarse? I want to do the right thing here for both my old dog as well as my new one. PLEASE HELP!!

Hi had a similar situation with a baby dove- bring the bird in at night time as they do not feed at that time and keep it warm. During the day place him in the spot where you found it the mother should find him and start feeding him on the ground (make sure there's nothing that will catch the little bird in the open such as cats or ealges). If he doesn't get fed by the pasents try plain pronutro that's mixed with water. This can be administered through a spoon that is sligthlt bent inwards or syringe. Good luck

Raising a baby sparrow?

I found a baby sparrow at my stable while I was riding my horse. His eyes were closed and he only had some pinfeathers. I took him home (I know they say to leave them because the mom will come and care from him, but we have a barn cat...) and warmed him up. I am feeding him kitten food because it's high in protein and nutrition. Now he is a few weeks old and is fully feathered even though they are just baby feathers. My original plan was to release him into the wild but I noticed he is really attached to me. He is learning to fly now and when he does, he flies to me and perches on my shoulder and I have handled him to aid him in his flying lessons. I am afraid that if I release him, he won't know how to fend for himself. Any suggestions?

they will be fine. they hiss to tell each other o stay away. a growl is a serious warning and i am sure she is all ears for that. feed them in separate locations. it was evans house first. she is the intruder. she was ferral and is not used to being handled and will get over it if you are kind and loving and dont scare her.she will eventually learn to trust you if you put alot of time into her. do not forget about evan. i am sure he is jealous because he views you as his an resents the intruder even if at times he is happy to have a buddy. food and you are his property and sounds like he is making that known. they are still tiny but do not ever get in the middle of a cat firght. if they do get in a scrap spray some water or separate with a long broom taking care not to hurt them if yelling loudly and clappng hands does not distract them . cat bites are nasty and hurt and can get infected very easily because they are puncture wounds and if they are bad enough to make you go to the emergency room we have to report all animal bites and authorities come. they may want to remove your pet for a few days .it is a nightmare .so steer clear of getting in the middle of cat fights. i think they will be fine. have two food and water bowls in different places of the house.one for her one for him to avoid them eating next to each other and fighting over food.two litter boxes is a good idea as well.

Whenever I discuss my taste in music with people, the second I say I'm into metal, (And by metal I mean, Slayer, Lamb of God, MegaDeth, Tempest, Cannibal Corpse, not that BFMV and A7X ****), people write it off saying, "Oh it's just someone screaming into a microphone, it isn't real music anyone can do it. First off, not everyone can do it, try holding a bear growl for more than ten seconds. Second, people who listen to rap can't really say anything on the subject, as real rap isn't anything more than a consistent beat accompanied by somebody rhythmically speaking without changing their tone of voice. No inflections or anything of the sort. Seriously people are ignorant, if you took 20 seconds to listen to the lyrics of a metal song, you would realize that the lyrics, while granted they are not always easy to make out, do have alot of thought behind them.

A baby sparrow and the likely hood of living to the next day?

My 11 month old female cat is hissing, growling & attacking my 3 young female cats... I have 8 cats all together... but my female cat bella if fine with the older cats - She just attacks her sister and the 2 younger cats... the 2 younger cats are also female the 1 is about 8 monthes and the other 1 is 8 weeks. Apart from the 8 week old cat have been spayed so thats not it... Up untill about a month ago bella and her sister and the other cats used to cuddle up together eat from the same bowls and licked eachother.. but all of a sudden bella has been hissing at them and recently hissing at me.. but when shes in a room on her own and i go in there shes fine with me and puurs and licks me.. its just when she sees the other 3.. But i only just had the 8 week old kitten last week and she was like it a few weeks before that so its not the new kitten doing it. How Do I Handle 11-Month Old Chihuahua Aggression?

I have been very consistent in training my chihuahua, who is now currently 11 months old and 9 lbs. He has been with me since 12-weeks and was neutered as a young puppy as he had started to exhibit certain behaviours (humping objects, etc) that led it to be advised. He is crate trained, potty trained, social and friendly in the dog park, but has exhibited aggressive behaviours from time to time. He is not allowed on the furniture, is made to wait for humans to enter doors first, and must sit or do other tricks to be rewarded or served his food. However, his aggression has been most seen around food, guarding his crate, guarding me, or when people pet him. Before, he would always want attention from others, but now he will be comfortable receiving a pet but then suddenly turns and snaps, warding off whoever is petting him. My boyfriend, who lives with us, is the most frequent victim. This past weekend, after getting picked up from the train station, I was sitting with my mother and the dog in the back seat of the car. She was petting and he suddenly tensed up and tried to bite her. Prior, he had always been very calm and well behaved in the car. On another occasion, while sitting on my boyfriend's lap in the car, my boyfriend was holding him and moved his hands slightly and the dog began to growl. I'd don't know if this is fear based or territorial. But the behaviour is very fickle and changes quickly. He will be accepting one minute, then suddenly tense and upset. He has been examined recently with a good bill of health. This behaviour is never exhibited towards me. After he lashes out, he instantly gets embarrassed, will lower his head in submission, and know that he has done something wrong. But he will still possibly lash out if anyone is in his space. I'm worried as this behaviour is new, as in the past few weeks, and I want to nip it in the bud. In regards to his aggression in the crate, I've had my boyfriend casually drop treats into the crate when the dog is resting inside, and speaking kindly to him. This is slowly improving and he is more accepting of people's presence near his crate. However, the other moments when he snaps are concerning me. If anyone has any advice-- please let me know. I have also been seeing a behaviorist to assist, but wanted to gather additional feedback.

It looks like my cat is trying to kill her kittens!!!!?

She is only around 10 months old and her kittens are just over 2 weeks old. We didn't know she was pregnant when we had her so it was qutie a shock!!! She had 7 kittens in total and when they are trying to suckle, she growls and meows at them, sometimes she gets up and walks away after like 5 minutes of feeding them so im also worried they are not getting enough milk. About 20 minutes ago some of them were suckling and she was scratching them and biting one of the kittens heads!!! Female cat with behavior problems.?

Okay so, a year ago I rescued and tiny, malnourished, and terrified female kitten. She was only a few weeks old. I'm a cat person and have raised many cats. This kitten, Willow has been raised by me, and only me for the last year. She's really sweet, but seems to almost be bipolar. She appears to have taken a liking to clawing my face. About 20 minutes ago she came downstairs purring, so I said "good morning" to her, picked her up and pet her and then kissed her shoulder blade. She responded by clawing my forehead and growling and not letting go until I had 6 bleeding puncture wounds on my forehead. I might expect that from an unfamiliar cat who I did not raise, but I'm stumped. I have 4 other cats that I have raised like I've raised her, and they're docile and exceptionally loving. Then again, they're all males. I need some advice on how to curve this behavior. She loves me, and is really affectionate but acts almost bipolar when she does this. It's happened multiple times. She is spayed if that makes any difference. Please help me because my forehead hurts. Thanks!!

Why are so many bad things happening at SeaWorld?

I don't get it! I've seen a like a million videos of things happening to people at SeaWorld because of the animals or some person has a done something completely stupid. I saw this one of a kid falling off a ride, now that was a cause of carelessness. But I know SeaWorld isn't' a bad place, I just think they need to be more careful. And I know that locking up animals and putting them in cages or tanks is a bad thing. I know. But sometimes it saves their lives because it's not able to survive in the wild. Like with the manatees. People are at fault for that! Stupid people driving their stupid boats and hurting the manatees. What did the manatees ever do them? Let's see... NOTHING! I just think that sometime's it's the not the animals fault. It's the person's fault. And I just think that people need to be more careful when around animals that could easily hurt or kill them.

Horrifying dream involving strange characters.?

At first the dream was actually comical. It started with me hanging out with this cute girl and we went to this one courtyard that had a desk in the middle... the girl and I are both front desk reps at the same hotel. It was dark in the courtyard and somebody asked US a question so the girl went to look it up. There was a guy that was sitting on the desk chair that we didnt see and that scared the hell out of her. But we left to walk back to our house... there was this white and black snake that NOBODY had ever caught before... name started with an M or something like that... Well... the snake jumped at me and somehow i caught it in mid air and it bit me... i looked at it and it only had 1 eye... it was a cyclopse eye. It also had the ability to flatten out like a cobra. I let the snake go speaking some kind of language to it and pointing. Then we continued home forgetting about the snake. When i got home there was a little yorkshire terrier (looked exactly like my roommates dog) that was growling and snarling at me fiercely... While it was in my face and showing its teeth i had noticed that its canine teeth were actually in the front of its mouth... like the fangs in a snake. I held the dog off and was acting like it was nothing unusual... and was just talking to the girl. Then there was the sound of breaking glass that was simultaneous with the sound of a gunshot and a scream. The girl started to run up the stairs and i woke up. I am a male that is 22 years old and moving to FL from WY in just a couple months... I had a few beers last night and I had this dream.

Why is my dog attacking my other dog?

I have 2 intact female dogs; Basset Hound and Cocker Spaniel. We bred our basset hound over 6 months ago and during her pregnancy she became aggressive about food with our cocker. When we discussed this with a professional they said it should pass once her puppies are gone and her hormones are back to normal. We didn't have any problems with her until a few weeks ago when she again became aggressive again over a few kibbles my daughter put on the floor. Then, this morning I heard growling near our back door and found our cocker sitting waiting to go out and avoiding eye contact with the Basset hound and as soon as I tried to intervene our Basset attacked. It's a lot of noise and growling, but no injuries. She is just coming out of heat. It's so surprising since our BH is so loving and playful and usually is best friends with the CS. I am wondering if we spay them both if the aggressiveness will stop, or if this is something we will need to bring a behaviorist in to correct. I am not a backyard breeder btw so no nasty comments. My BH is registered and all of the health checks were done etc. I am trying to do what is best for my dogs.

I think that if you can't find an animal hospital, or anywhere that the baby might be able to get help, that you should let him be. I know it'll be hard, but if you really cant find anywhere for him, that's what you're going to have to do.. It's very nice of you to try to help him, but I know first hand from trying to help wild animals, that sometimes things don't go as planned.. I've tried to rescue baby birds too, but sometimes when I get close to them, they become frightened and fly away, getting themselves lost and unable to be helped.. So overall, find a place where they can repair his leg, or let nature take it's course. I hope I could help you a little, and good luck with the little guy..(:

I have the same problem at the moment. I adopted a stray kitten that I found on a pavement. The kitten is thriving now, getting stronger and playing a lot but my other cat really hates it. If she does nt. the treatment is massive doses of antibiotic usually oral and iv, hospitalization and immediate spay needed (it is a virulent uterine infection ) that runs rampant thru the system... only now the spay is really life threatening as the cat is sick. some make it, many do not...and $$$$$$ at the vets as well as the suffering... SO I cannot tell you what to do, she is your cat... but I would get another opinion on the spay,. Just make sure they do not hurt one another. Keep the boy in a separate room . To put it simply, he's spoiled by the sound of it and voicing his displeasure when he does get in trouble or not what he wants. Most dogs don't like to be pushed. I've had a dog that was easy going unless someone pushed him, and then, he'd bark profusely and loudly at whoever pushed him. How would you like someone to push you. It sounds like he's spoiled and thinks he is the alpha. Personally, I'd say to train him. If you don't know how, then you need to go to obedience classes with him. He should learn down, stay, come, and so on where you wouldn't have to push him off of the couch which I don't understand. If he's allowed in the bed, then he will think that he should be allowed on all furniture.

I was diagnosed with Intermittent Explosive Disorder about 3/4 years ago and am on lithium and some thyroid medication for hypothyroidism (I've been on a number of other meds before). I am 16 years old. The problem- Everytime I am around people I dont know and in a quiet setting(ex. the SAT test) my stomach makes very loud sounds. Why does my bunny growl and lunge at me?

I have 2 bunnies, I dont know there age, but we are assuming around 4 months old. The people at the store we got them from did not know their age. But they were really nice and sweet when we had them inside, and we pet them and play with them, and let them outside to play for a while. But when we put them in their cage, and we didnt really let them out at all, one became very aggressive. She growls when I try and pet her and then she lunges at me, scratches and bites me too. And when I try and touch my male rabbit who is very tame, she lunges at me, but he doesnt do anything. I was thinking that it might be because she is stressed out being inside the cage all day because its only a 4x4. But I've become afraid of her, and I'm too scared to lift her out of the cage to let her play, so I have to try and shove her in a box to let her play. But Max(male bunny) is really sweet and tame. I dont understand. There has been some other weird behaviors too. Ruby(agressive female bunny) will chew up the card board box we put in there to let them nest in, and she just chews it all up and spreads it on the floor of the cage. I have put in 7 boxes, and she just chews them up, and spreads it around. I just dont want her being mean, and I dont know what to do. There is a possiblilty she is pregnant too. How would I go about getting non-hobbyist fish for a 200,000 gallon aquarium I am building?

I've helped build a 200,000 gallon freshwater aquarium.To stock it I traveled around with my dad to help retrieve the fish straight out of their homes. We are attempting to build a 200,000 gallon saltwater reef aquarium for a different business. We have never done this. They are asking for many endangered species and exotic non-hobbyist species that without a city council approved permit, are illegal to have. The catch is, (no pun intended), we've got permission from the city, but we can not locate these creatures. This is because although some are fish, there are some other creatures. such as: Manatee, Thresher Shark, Sea Crocodile, Dwarf Manta Ray etc....The price of the whole project (not including the animals) is around 1.2-1.6mil. The business we are building it for is new, they've gained sponsors and grants for opening up their business, and this could really be the chance for my dad and I and the rest of the crew. We've thought about calling or getting in contact with Native Locals to retrieve them but not many have the equipment to capturing these creatures without harming it. I'm trying not to use locals though because even if they happened to capture the animals, UPS special services over-sea rates are HIGH; the Georgia Aquarium could have bought a palace with the money they paid a for their Beluga Whales and Whale Sharks, but then again the UPS Air Committee granted them $250k off of the move.Back to the point thought; Can anyone help? Why did the bird die?

Okay yesterday me and my brother were in the living room and we heard a screaming noise. We both ran outside, cause we have three cats that roam around and catch birds. Well we didn't see anything; came in, and noticed that one of our cats had a house sparrow in her mouth. We got the bird away from our cat and nursed in for the night. Me and my sister took care of the bird the next day and we noticed that the bird had a puncture wound. We thought that it would just heal and be able to fly soon. But for the two days so far we had the bird. My sister, mom, and dad would pick her up. Earlier today, my dad asked me if I ever held her, and I said no. So he held out his hands and gave her to me; the first time I held her. I wasn't holding her wrong at all; a couple seconds later she puts her head down and dies. I only held her for about 5 seconds and she died. My question is why didn't she die in my dad's hands or anyone else?

File a harassment suit against the vet. And a restraining order. Then, find a new vet. No vet would put a dog down for merely being deaf. If you're dog is well behaved and that vet is actually worried about his well being, he would ask you to sedate Rapture before bringing him in for appointments. In my opinion, your vet probably wants to take your dog to sell him to a testing facility looking for deaf dogs to try out new devices on. No vet would offer you money otherwise.

One of my rabbits has suddenly started bullying and become agressive to his female bonded partner!?

I originally had my little girl bunny for two years and then rehomed a 'fixed' boy bunny for companionship. They bonded instantly and up till recently hardly ever sat apart and continuously licked and groomed eachother. They've been bonded for almost a year now, however recently my boy bunny has started growling and not letting my girl rabbit get to food. They've been sitting apart for the past two weeks and I'm worried that she isn't getting enough food. I try and sneak her treats but he always runs over and chases her away to get the food. He never did that before! They both went to the vets recently and all was fine, although they were still 'in love' then. Has anyone else experienced this? Should I move on to bigger birds as pets?

I love birds, and have been around them for most of my life. I've had a peachfaced lovebird, a sparrow, and two parakeets before, and for my next bird I want a cockatoo or macaw. I've been leaning more towards the cockatoo because I have more experience around them and I want a bird I can play with and bond with easier. The only slight issue with cockatoos I have is the screaming. I personally don't have a problem with it(sharing a house with 7of them for an entire summer is an excellent way to learn to block it out) but my mom wouldn't like it. The only problem with macaws I have is my brothers green macaw(RIP Ceasar) hated me and bit me a lot, so I'm fidgety around them. My brother suggested getting a pair of lovebirds, but I don't want to because my last lovebird died because the house sitter didn't keep the heater on or cover her cage, so i think getting a pair of them would remind me too much of my dearly departed Rachelle. Manatees aren't kept in any British aquarium/zoo. They don't like our climate plus they need a much larger artifical habitat than most other creatures. Manatees die if the water temperature is below 15 degrees centigrade.

I doubt they bite but I know for sure that they poop a lot obstructing visibility while you trying to look at them in the water.

ok so i have a rose garden and my dog, sadie dug one of the rose bushes out and started digging there. well i am going to get the whole area redone so i just let her dig there for now but the thing is whenever my other dog goes near it sadie's hair goes up and she guards it. it got scary when my other dog went there and started digging and then sadie came back and started growling at her and showing her teeth and they almost got in a fight and they are two mediu-large ssized dogs and it would be dangerous if they got in a fight. Soooooo what im asking is how to make her stop being possessive over it or even stop digging there completely.

CatSitting...cat acting strange. HELP?

So me and my roommates are watching a friend's cat and she's acting strange. The first day she seemed fine, she was eating, exploring, purring etc. She followed us around rubbing our legs and everything. That all changed this morning. She had jumped up on the stove and pooped (which its owner said she wouldn't do) and I sat down and was scratching her head behind her ears. She was stretching and purring. All of a sudden she dug her claws into my hand and bit me, growled an ran under the love seat. Any time we try to approach her-or even LOOK at her-she hisses and growls and takes clawed swipes at us. What's going on here? And how do we calm her down? I don't want her owner thinking someone hurt her cat because we've been nothing but caring and affectionate. And I was only petting/scratching her head in the spot she likes so it doesn't seem like she got pissed because I touched a tender spot on her. I'm really freaked out. What do we do?

My dog barks and growl at other dogs can anyone help?

you have only had him a few days and you said he come from a rescue, thats the only life he has known up to now barking and jumping up and basically trying to get attention over every other dog, he probably isnt being aggressive more than likely more scared than anything or hes just being a guard dog, what the best thing to do is just keep walking him everyday the more he sees hes going to get used to it and not bark as much at it anymore , hes just breaking in really. what you could try and do is take either a jar with something like rice in it and when he barks shake it to get his mind out of thinking like that, or take a spray bottle with water, and you have to keep it hidden so he doesnt know your doing it and everytime he barks, give him a spritz you have to make sure he doesnt see you if he does its all ruined. he has to think its a consequence for him barking.

Can a wild baby bird's wing be fixed?

A baby sparrow ran into my leg yesterday and I did what I could. I've called around town and many vets don't want to take in this bird to mend its wing. One lady I called (who was very rude and blunt) said the birds wing cannot be fixed, that it will have to be euthanized. And sparrows aren't endangered so there's nothing that can be done. She also says it will starve to death. Is this true? Should I give up? If I do find a vet that will see this bird say the same thing? I thought that wings could always get fixed as long as there's a wing to fix?!

Would like advice from professional dog trainer on 9 week old puppy!?

Ok so Im not a professional but I am in the same position as you, I recently got a 9 week old chocolate lab. I do know tons about dogs and I am looking to get involved with animals in the future. First off, Just so you know, female dogs do tend to be more independent than males, so it is possible that she is just stubborn. In that case you are going to have to experiment and see what gets her attention, I have just started "clicker" training my puppy, and I think it will work great after we repeat the training every day. I find that if you try to walk faster they will stop getting distracted by leaves and such on the walk. Also keep the leash pulled firmly so that the puppy stays by your side instead of wondering around, but not too tight! Now the last issue... when she tries to bite you, this may sound bad but I know of a lot of people who do this, and I have done it to my puppy, you need to make sure she knows that you are the boss by biting her on the ear. I know its sounds bad but it really does work. My puppy had the same problem where she was biting my hands and my legs and after I did that she knows when shes too rough. I bit her on the ear just hard enough to where she squeaked a little but then I stopped. In a way you need to "give her a taste of her own medicine" ha ha, and make sure she understands why you are doing that, tell her "No Bite!" and use that as your word to make her stop, be consistant! I hope it works out for you.

The fact that nothing is showing up in xrays is good.That means it is a soft tissue injury.The trouble with soft tisssue injuries is that they take the longest to heal.I would give her enteric coated aspirin ( which will not upset her stomach) and be vigilent in doing that in a timely manner each day.That should reduce any swelling and keep her on short walks each day.if you feel the need to socialize her walk to a place where you both can sit and rest where people pass by.if they seem interested in your dog give them a cookie and ask them to give it to your dog.Make the dog act politely.Keep this dog in as much as possible for any healing to take place 2-3 weeks then be very careful..Be thankful it is not a cruciate ligament.Surgery is extremely expensive to fix that.

Why does my dog growl at me whenever I count?

I have a chihuahua, who's 1 1/2 years old, and whenever I count, he starts growling (It's not the playful kind either)! I figured out that he doesn't like me counting, whenever I was playing with him in my yard, and I was fixing to throw a ball. I started counting, and he started growling. I thought it was because he was growling at something else, at first. Then, I threw it and he growled again. So, I picked him up, and started sweet talking him, and he was very lovable, but when I started counting, he growls really nasty! I don't know why he growls like that when I count, he just does! Will my older female cats hurt my 2 new female kittens? ?

I have an 8 mnth old Tabby/Serengeti female and 12 wk old Tabby/Persian female kitten. I don't think it is a good story. The names are not very good. You make the reader convused with all of the July , June , May , April , August , Sepember , Decemeber. Help introducing a new puppy to an aggressive dog?

It is your responsibility to make sure that the pup only has good experiences. Maybe your older dog should be an only dog. Try keeping the adult dog on a lead when pup is about and then you have more control. You may have to remove the older dog many times when he begins to aggress. Do it as many times as it takes and he will get fed up of being removed. When he is in the same room and calm make sure you give him treats. Associate a phrase like " be nice" to the calm behaviour and he will learn.

My dog is not acting like her normal self?

My dog is a westie and she is currently 7 years old, going to be 8 in december. She used to love sleeping and loved going outside in the sun and just lying down. You could tell when she was happy by her eyes and just how she walks around. This week, she has been very sad, and i could tell by the way she walks and her eyes and just how she never barks. before this week,she was a big barker. Everytime she tries to bark, it looks to me like she cant. She walks right now, very slow. She wont eat as much as she did last week and she wont growl or bite anyone that picks her up when she doesnt want to be picked up, she used to do that before. I miss the old her, i dont know whats wrong. Her eyes are sagged and she walks like something is wrong. i know her well enough to know there is something wrong. I really want to know whats wrong. I dont know if this helps, but it is summer, where i live. Maybe she has been out in the sun for too long but i dont know.
